Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort Photo Walk 2012 – 180 Photos

This is the second part of my Port Orleans Resort Photo Walk, Disney's Port Orleans Riverside (the Port Orleans French Quarter walk is here). Port Orleans Riverside was originally named Dixie Landings in 1991 (a name I liked), and changed in 2001 to form one resort named Port Orleans.

I spent 6 years working as a Disney Travel Specialist, and Port Orleans Riverside was the moderate I was asked for the most – in part because rooms in Alligator Bayou can take 5 in a room (plus an infant), as long as one child is between ages 3-9. The rooms aren't larger, but it does allow larger families to stay together. This side of Port Orleans also offers more recreation, a sit-down restaurant, a larger store, etc. On the flip side, Port Orleans French Quarter was the second most requested during my time as a travel agent due to the intimate size and sea serpent pool (among other assets). Between these two resorts, there is something for nearly everyone!

Port Orleans Riverside is much more spread out than the French Quarter. But, there are numerous bridges which help get guests to the main area quicker from their rooms.

We ended the Port Orleans French Quarter portion of the walk at 12:41pm. I photograph the resort first, and then go back and time the walk (for those who want to know the approximate time it takes from place to place).

We are on the path between Port Orleans French Quarter and Port Orleans Riverside. The Magnolia Bend "mansions" are across the water.
