Epcot Egg-Stravaganza Easter Egg Hunt Returns for 2016 – Review with Photos & Video

The Disney Egg-stravaganza Easter Egg Hunt 2016 began on the same day at the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival kicked off. It made for a very busy day yesterday! The character egg hunt was more challenging than the last couple of years, at least in a couple of World Showcase countries it was pretty hard. I was beginning to think that there was no character egg to find in the America pavilion, but ended up finding it when I had almost given up. I actually liked it being a little harder, it made it more fun.

The Egg-stravaganza ends on March 27th, 2016 and redemption for the prize is April 2nd, 2016  – or while supplies last, and that can be for either maps or prizes (or both).

This article begins with no spoilers but ends with them after the prize redemption (so that those not playing can see where some of the egg locations are).

There are signs in many locations for the Disney Egg-stravaganza map, which costs $5.95 plus tax. This includes the map, stickers and prize at the end. The locations are at Pin Central, Port of Entry, Heritage Manor and also World Traveler at the International Gateway.

There was a line at Pin Central for pins – which also meant a line for maps. However, the kiosk nearby also had them, and only a couple of guests in line.

I am showing a few eggs in places that shouldn’t be easily identified so you can see what they look like (including Mickey in the first photo).

The White Rabbit is one of the characters that can be found.

Daisy Duck is an egg as well.

I forgot to take a photo inside the Port of Entry shop where the redemption is, this is the only place that guests can bring the map back for a prize. Thanks to Robert at Mickey Updates for getting this photo for me!

There were 7 eggs to choose from for a prize. Mr. Toad was a holdover from last year, apparently he wasn’t as popular here as at Disneyland since the ride hasn’t been in the Magic Kingdom for almost 20 years now. Any of these eggs could eventually run out.

We chose Stitch. I think this may be the most popular this year, he is very cute!

And here is a look at a few of the locations where eggs can be found. Thumper is high atop this building in the UK. It was one of the harder ones to find.

Pluto is in Morocco.

Dale is in Japan.

Pulling back, you can see the White Rabbit is in Italy.

Here is a look at our map when it was complete. There were 12 character eggs to find – even though it was challenging in a couple of countries, we found them all.

We had a great time looking for the eggs! And here is a look at the “Zootopia” themed monorail traveling through Epcot.

It was a gorgeous day to hunt for eggs, and we look forward to more Epcot Flower & Garden Festival in coming weeks too.
