Halloween Pet Costume Parade, Decorated Pumpkins & The Headless Horseman 2015 at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground (Photos, Video)

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground is a Halloween tradition for us (and Halloween eve). October 30th didn’t disappoint, with a variety of activities that included the Fort Wilderness Pet Costume Parade, a pumpkin decorating contest and the Headless Horseman at the Chip ‘n Dale Campfire Sing-A-Long.

Best Friends Pet Care sponsors the Fort Wilderness Pet Costume Parade, which included a wide variety of dogs from guests at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground. This is held at the Waggin’ Trails Dog Park.

There were a couple of Pixar “Up” houses with dogs inside.

On our way to the Meadows Complex, we noticed a skeleton enjoying a Coke.

A giant rat moved around in this trash can (very good Halloween theme!)

The decorated pumpkins were located in a different area than last year, but still easily found near the Chip ‘n Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long area.

This was one of my favorites, depicting scenes from Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground.

Crockett’s Tavern.

Musket Mickey was below the Tri-Circle D Ranch.

Nearby, Elsa was in silhouette form.

Another favorite of mine was the Starry Night, based on the Van Gogh painting.

Joy from “Inside Out” was nicely painted on this pumpkin.

Chip ‘n Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long featured Chip and Dale dressed as vampire and pirate.

Chip was a pirate, Dale a vampire.

We always enjoy meeting the chipmunks!

Chip and Dale were brought onto the stage for a song.

But soon, the Headless Horseman appeared in the night.

Fog enveloped the Headless Horseman and his horse, and they rode off.

We were happy to have the chance to meet both Chip and Dale again this year in their Halloween costumes.

We posted an article last week about some of the decorations at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground. It seemed that the campsites weren’t decorated as much early in the season this year, but Halloween is here and many campsites have wonderful displays! One of our favorites so far is Mack the Truck.

Mack also had a Disney’s Dixie Landings Resort license tag.

We are looking forward to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Golf Cart Parade today, it is always a lot of fun. We will post about that tomorrow!
