“Frozen” Concept Art Now at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – Photos and Video
Hi everyone!
We always enjoy bringing you the new concept art at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – this is the 9th or 10th display we’ve photographed, and I’ve been so looking forward to the artwork from “Frozen”! It seemed to take forever to get here, but it is still 2 months until the movie debuts in theaters.
Some of the more recent concept art we have posted include Wreck-It Ralph, Tangled, and Monsters University. There is also an Art of Frozen book coming out on November 1st, the “Art of” books are some of our favorites! No maquettes have been added to the display yet, I’m hoping they will still show up. There are also no character descriptions, but again – those usually come later. I will add anything new when it is added! According to the Disney website, “Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.” You can read more here!
At the end of the article, we have a video of the “Frozen” concept art, as well as our interviews with Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel and Josh Gad from the film! Enjoy the artwork – while the display cases are smaller than they used to be, I’m glad that the concept art is still available for guests.
Near the Animation Gallery, a different room also tells the story of “Frozen”. It is harder to photograph because the artwork isn’t as close (plus I was shooting through glass).
Here are our two videos – the first is the concept art, the second our interviews!
