Detailed Photo Tour of Princess Fairytale Hall, w/Princess Meet & Greet Photos and Video – Cinderella, Rapunzel, Snow White, Aurora

We had a great time at the Disney Parks Blog meet-up yesterday, and I was hoping we’d get a peek into Princess Fairytale Hall to share with our readers/viewers – and that is just what happened! We spent 2 hours taking photos and video inside the new princess location, which opens to the public on September 18th, 2013.

Princess Fairytale Hall is located in Fantasyland, and isn’t in full guest mode yet – we will be back on September 18th, trying it with Fastpass+ and without to see if any changes have been made (and to see how Fastpass+ works there).

One question I was asked on Instagram is if it’s just one meet & greet experience. It isn’t. There are two sides, and you choose one or the other (you can choose both, but one at a time). Rapunzel and a princess friend greet in one room, and Cinderella and a friend meet in the other. These also count as two Fastpass+ experiences – if you don’t know about Fastpass+, you can read about it here – we have several videos embedded as well.

I took some photos outside – it was really beautiful at sunset, with Cinderella Castle in the background.

This is the hall that includes the princess portraits, and guests stand in two lines  – the line to the left is for Rapunzel and a friend, and the line to the right is for Cinderella and a friend. There is an entryway on either side that will take guests into the princess rooms.

Portraits of Jasmine, Princess Aurora, Princess Tiana, Rapunzel, Mulan and Snow White line the walls. Imagineer Jason Grandt said that these are custom made princess portraits, created by classically trained artists and are “lush and full of detail”. He encouraged everyone to take a good look at them.

Cinderella’s glass slipper is at the end of the hallway, just as guests turn to either the right or left to meet the princesses. This area reminds me of my Cinderella Castle Suite stay from 2007.

Jeff and I enjoyed spending time with friends while waiting in line.

There are paintings on the walls, and this wallpaper features roses – the wallpaper inside the Cinderella meet & greet is blue and heavily decorated with glass slippers.

The first room we entered was for Rapunzel, and she was with Snow White. The color scheme in each room is different – there are more reds here.

The story of Snow White is here – this location used to be home of the ride “Snow White’s Scary Adventures”.

There is a set of books that represents the princesses and their fairytales – such as “La Belle au Bois Dormant” (Sleeping Beauty). There are two themed bookends as well. “Snedronningen” (The Snow Queen) is already here, which is a reference to the film “Frozen”. Behind this painting is the blue wallpaper, which includes small glass slippers (at the end of the article you’ll see a few other details).

Princess Aurora was meeting with Cinderella. This new hall is much nicer than the meet and greet in Town Square Theater, certainly more befitting the princesses. If you are planning to visit Princess Fairytale Hall, arrive very early or have Fastpass+ set up – this will be an extremely popular location. Also, there is no guarantee of which princesses will be here with Cinderella and Rapunzel.

Imagineer Jason Grandt gave a talk about Princess Fairytale Hall during the Disney Parks Blog meet-up, and Jeff edited worked in some footage of Princess Fairytale Hall to show what Grandt is talking about.

There has been a lot of interest in Princess Fairytale Hall – it has an elegant feel to it, though it doesn’t really look much line the original concept art to me. I think it actually looks nicer – and kids will love meeting the princesses, no matter where they are located.
