1/9/11 Magic Kingdom Photo Update 40th Anniversary Merchandise, Splash Mountain Rehab
Hi everyone!
We went to the Magic Kingdom yesterday (sandwiched in between a Boma breakfast and Narcoosee’s dinner for Jeff’s birthday – dining reviews coming soon for those!) I was hoping to get some Fantasyland construction photos, but it was very busy – so expect those, along with whatever Haunted Mansion queue construction photos I can get – later this week.
It was a gorgeous day as we sailed past Narcoosee’s at the Grand Floridian, where we’d be dining later:
Ads for Disney Jr., Pirates 4, Mars needs Moms and Cars 2.
Christmas music was playing and decorations still up:
This area next to City Hall is now behind a facade:
The Magic Kingdom Christmas tree:
There is now work going on at the Confectionery:
Lotso Huggin’ Bear has been hard to find in plush (I am surprised how popular he has been), but he can now be found all over property:
There is a large selection of 40th anniversary WDW merchandise alongside 2011 items. I have always loved the old Walt Disney World logo, I used to have jewelry and other items with it when I was a kid!
Back on Main Street, the Dapper Dans were still in their Christmas attire:
Pascal from Disney’s “Tangled”:
We went to Kevin Yee’s 2nd Miceage meet for 2010, he plans one for each of the next 40 weeks (to cover 40 attractions for the 40th anniversary). We went through Minnie’s House in Mickey’s Toontown Fair, which I plan for us to cover in photos and video very soon!
The Red Queen:
Prince Naveen:
Splash Mountain is set to be down for rehab until January 31st:
And a wall is up near the Swiss Family Treehouse (which is still open):
I have so much planned for the next few weeks, keep watching Mousesteps!
