Magic Kingdom 2020 Halloween Offerings Feature Cavalcades (Including with Disney Villains) and Cadaver Dans

The Magic Kingdom Halloween offerings are coming into more detail and I can’t wait for next Tuesday! Halloween will run from September 15th – October 31st, 2020 and while it is very different than what we are used to, there are also some recognizable elements and characters coming back. Walt Disney World has done a terrific job with socially distanced entertainment and Halloween will be no exception.

First, there will be Halloween cavalcades and they won’t only include Mickey and his friends. There will be – “on select days” – a cavalcade of Disney Villains with Gaston, Maleficent, Queen of Hearts and Jafar. Also, as Shawn Slater in the Disney Parks Blog writes – “a nightmarish procession featuring the Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington”! I have no idea how often these villains cavalcades will happen, what “select days” will be, but I’m looking forward to more Magic Kingdom time this season.

And – this was a great surprise – the Dapper Dans will be back starting September 20th, performing as the Cadaver Dans. We often miss them during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights (the event has been canceled this year), so it will be nice to get to see them this year – in the daylight. All day guests will have an opportunity to enjoy Halloween offerings in 2020.

We learned about the highlights of the 2020 Walt Disney World holiday season a couple of days back – and again, while that also will look different (with no Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party or Candlelight Processional, etc.), this experience will give us a good idea of what to expect for the holidays.
