Disney Park and Resort Photo Updates

11/10 Grand Floridian Gingerbread House, Fantasyland Teacups, New Coffee/Pastry Booth Epcot

Hi everyone!

We’ve been going pretty much nonstop this week, but I wanted to put up these pics I took today – mostly from the Grand Floridian.  I watched as the first shingles were added to the gingerbread house, and samples were even handed out!

Remember that we have photos and video from the first Castle lighting!  We also were there for the cast preview of the Osborne Lights.

We have so much coming up – I’ll have photos from the Magic Kingdom for Christmas, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party,  Fantasy of Flight Roar and Soar (go if you can!), IAPPA and more.

Some photos of work on the Grand Floridian main building:

Photos of the gingerbread house as the cast members were told how to put the shingles on – then the shingles are added, and samples brought out.  I have never seen this process before and really enjoyed it!

I mostly was taking Christmas photos at the Magic Kingdom today, but I did get a few that included the Teacups:

Epcot Christmas tree (I miss the Lights of Winter so much, but highly recommend the Gaylord Palms ICE! experience for a great alternative):

And one of the many photos I took of Rick Springfield.  Hopefully I’ll have time to post more soon!

It was really a fantastic day.  I wanted to thank Disney as well for putting on such great shows this year at the American Gardens Theater.  They really stepped up and put extra money into some popular acts (like Rick Springfield, Night Ranger and Air Supply – I’m an 80’s girl!), and it made for an even better Food and Wine Festival experience.
