Baymax and Hiro Meet in San Fransokyo Square at Disney California Adventure (Photos, Video)

Hi everyone!

San Fransokyo Square opened at Disney California Adventure on August 31st, 2023 and with it, a meet and greet with Baymax and Hiro! We stopped by this week to meet them.

When you wait in the line for Baymax and Hiro, you can end up meeting both or just Baymax or just Hiro. When we entered the line, Baymax and Hiro were meeting but they left and Baymax returned on his own. Before they left, they did pose for photos.

Baymax and Hiro are very popular at San Fransokyo Square! We waited about a half hour or a little more. They are located at Hamada Bot Shop. Disney says of this location, “Guests have the opportunity to interact with Hiro and Baymax outside a converted warehouse, where the Big Hero 6 team builds their hi-tech gear.”

The Baymax meet and greet seemed to move much faster than when it was both of them.

Baymax does talk and Jeff gave him a fistbump.

We made it to the front of the line for our own photos.

I asked a Cast Member when the best time to meet them would be, and she said they are almost always busy right now. So plan to wait! And don’t expect to meet both Hiro and Baymax, because it can be one or the other or both. That does happen at other meet and greets too. The other day we were waiting for Jack and Sally, but then they took a break and Jack returned by himself.

There are a lot of great character meet and greets right now at the Disneyland Resort including Halloween; special appearances in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge; and now Hiro and Baymax as well!
