Disney on Ice Presents ‘Magic in the Stars’ Makes Impressive Debut at the Amway Center (Photos)

We were invited to Disney on Ice presents ‘Magic in the Stars’ as the show made its debut at the Amway Center in Orlando last night. Jeff and I both agreed that this is our favorite Disney on Ice show ever!
Disney on Ice presents ‘Magic in the Stars’ celebrates Disney100, which is the 100th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Company. The show includes the most characters in any Disney on Ice production! Disney on Ice presents ‘Magic in the Stars’ also includes the on-ice debut of Raya from Raya and the Last Dragon as well as Elsa and Anna from Frozen 2. My favorite segment of the show was from Encanto.
Disney on Ice presents ‘Magic in the Stars’ runs through September 3rd, 2023 at the Amway Center before moving to other cities. The show features wonderful skating, along with acrobatics and stunts, special effects and more.
I took photos yesterday of the show. Only small cameras are allowed into the Amway Center for the show, so my pictures reflect that (as opposed to using my professional camera).
The opening segment of the show felt very 1970s to me, with performers in platinum colors with the Disney characters.
Disney on Ice presents ‘Magic in the Stars’ begins “when the North Star shines brightly and descends upon Jiminy Cricket as he welcomes and reminds the audience that the most fantastic, magical things can happen, and it all starts with a wish.”
The show includes Tiana from The Princess and the Frog as she dreams of opening her own restaurant.
Aladdin finds a magic lamp in the Cave of Wonders. The segment includes Genie(s) and Jasmine, along with the Magic Carpet.
Raya from Raya and the Last Dragon has an incredible segment, this is probably my favorite skating in the show. She not only debuts in the show, but has an aerial acro-pole routine that showcases her strength.
Also, the Disney princesses are featured prominently, with Raya as the newest.
Anna and Elsa from Frozen 2 are in the show, along with Olaf, Kristoff and Sven.
We don’t talk about Bruno, but I will talk about this fantastic Encanto segment. It is a huge crowd pleaser, so lively and fun – especially during the song We Don’t Talk About Bruno. Luisa does appear on the swing with flowers.

Disney on Ice says about the ‘Magic in the Stars’: In the end, audiences will learn that everyone has dreams they want to come true, but the brightest light shines inside of YOU! Every one of you is a STAR! So, shine bright and let your stories light up the night sky!

Disney on Ice presents ‘Magic in the Stars’ is an outstanding show, with a variety of Disney stories and the most characters in any Disney on Ice production. There are still a few performances left at the Amway Center as I type this, and then performances in other cities. We recommend picking up tickets and enjoying the show!
