Disneyland Paris Issues Statement for Guests Ahead of June 6th, 2023 Strike Action

Update 6/13: A new strike is scheduled for Monday, June 19th, 2023.  Read more in our most current article.

Hi everyone!

Disneyland Paris has issued a statement for guests about the strike action by Cast Members on June 6th (tomorrow). The statement was made on Twitter through the DLPHelp handle (and possibly through other channels as well). There have been several non-consecutive days of strikes so far in the parks and tomorrow’s strike action is renewable, meaning it could be that subsequent days potentially are affected but nothing has been announced.  Added 6/6President of Disneyland Paris Natacha Rafalski has now said that Disneyland Paris won’t negotiate until August, so there could be some form of strikes at least occasionally until then.

Cast Members are looking for a 200 Euro pay raise monthly, higher pay on Sundays and better working conditions.

Here is the statement from Disneyland Paris:

Due to a planned strike at Disneyland Paris by our employees on Tuesday 6th June, certain shows or activities may be disrupted or even cancelled.

The Disney Parks and Hotels will remain open and we will do everything possible to continue to provide the best experience possible. If you wish, you are welcome to postpone your visit to a later date.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

We hope both sides can come to an agreement soon. We spend a lot of time at Disneyland Paris and the Cast Members always make a lot of magic for guests.

And just FYI, June 6th is also a national strike day/ “day of action” in France and may affect transport in Paris and more. I recommend checking the news before heading out if you are there.

We will post more if we hear anything about future strike days.
