4/8 D-Street Opens at Downtown Disney West Side; Ridley Pierson at Epcot
Hi everyone!
We went to the new D-Street store at the West Side of Downtown Disney, then headed to Epcot to see Ridley Pearson. We spent so much time at D-Street (I took a lot of photos) that we weren’t able to get in line for Pearson, but I do have photos.
The first thing I noticed when walking into D-Street was the Wicked Witch. This is from the World of Disney in New York:
Thanks to Jeff, we also have two photos from the Witch in it’s former location:
There are all sorts of interesting things to look at in D-Street, including some items from the Adventurers Club! First, this is an LED Vinylmation lamp and then pictures from around the store:
From Vinylmation Series 4, the chaser is the Colonel from the Adventurers Club (if you are interested in Adventurers Club photos, I have 12 pages from an NFFC event in 2008 here!)
The store is an eclectic mix of new (mostly Vinylmation items) and old. At the bottom of this row you can see Star Wars product on an older Cinderella themed display:
We were told by a friend that this cash register may have come from Epcot, and then was in storage for a long time:
This bust was from the Adventurer’s Club.
The peacock from the Adventurers Club, in the store and a photo I’d taken at the club before it closed:
This suit of armor that is at D-Street was also at the Adventurers Club, and I have a photo following the one I’d taken yesterday of the armor at the club in 2008:
This zebra was also at the Adventurers Club:

Here is another current photo of the zebra.
Vinylmation sign:
And there is a Vinylmation-filled table with a Vinylmation-built Mickey on top of it – the table is used for kids to draw on:
And more photos around the store and outside:
At DisneyQuest, a drink cart was parked outside:
And Characters in Flight prices just went up:
At Epcot, Author Ridley Pearson was autographing books, including his new one – Kingdom Hearts III: Disney in Shadow. We missed getting our books signed after spending too much time at D-Street, but we did get some photos:
Mexico Cantina construction:
We stopped over at the Studios briefly too:
The rumor is (and I don’t think it is a rumor anymore) that Luxo Jr. is now done. I had taken photos and video it’s first day. This is the area now, and it looks a little different than on the first day I was there:
And the “Singing in the Rain” umbrella was working, it is always off when we normally pass by:
Thanks for reading!
