Versailles Bike Tour
On May 4th, I did my 3rd bike tour with Fat Tires Bike Tours (previously, I had done the Monet Gardens tour and nighttime bike tour – both wonderful!)
I arrived about 15 minutes late to the Fat Tires office (I was still sick but really wanted to go!) and the group had already left. Another tour guide raced me up to the group, which wasn’t too far ahead. We then all biked to the train station. It was very foggy, but you can see the Eiffel Tower in the distance:
We had the bikes on the RER train, 3 – 4 bikers in each car. We got exited at the Versailles station, and then rode through the streets of the city. City Hall:
We stopped at a market to pick up picnic food. I had the most amazing dessert, a chocolate meringue (I’ve never had one). It was a regular meringue with a very thick coating of chocolate. Good thing I was exercising!
