EPCOT Construction Update from December 29th, 2022 Including ‘Moana’ Journey of Water (Photos, Video)
Hi everyone!
We rode the monorail through EPCOT yesterday for a look at the construction, including on Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana (which is scheduled to open late in 2023).
Here are photos and video from yesterday! First, our video.
Construction continues in the area around Guest Relations.
Also, at the former Cool Wash location.
From afar, I could see the 16-foot tall Te Fiti figure at Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana.
Here are more photos as I traveled around EPCOT.
CommuniCore Hall and Plaza will be “a multi-use facility and outdoor event space, respectively, that bring the park’s international festivals to the center of EPCOT. CommuniCore Plaza will have the flexibility to host intimate musical performances that extend out into the nearby gardens, as you can see in the rendering above, as well as large-scale concerts.”
Work goes on around existing restrooms.
And work continues on the upcoming Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana. This will be a self-guided outdoor trail “where you can play and interact with water as it travels from the sky to the oceans and back again.”
We will back for more photos in the upcoming weeks and months!
