Disney’s Grand Floridian is Selling Easter Treats Through April 26th, 2019 (Made by the Pastry Team!)
Hi everyone!
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort has its wonderful and always impressive Chocolate Easter Egg Display for its 8th year and new for 2019 are specialty treats sold nearby. Pastry Chef Kristine Farmer took over the reins last year and made her mark first at Disney’s Grand Floridian Gingerbread House but has now made some changes for Easter too. And selling Easter treats is a win-win for everyone. The items are made in-house by the pastry team, so guests can purchase high quality goods with nothing being sold for over $10.00. We purchased a couple of items to try, and will show those as well. The treats are sold from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., it would be nice if they could be sold after that as well for when guests return from the parks.
This is the Mickey Whoopie Pie. No matter what color it is (because there are multiple colors), it will taste the same. It is very good for a standard whoopie pie.
Follow Mousesteps on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube! We recommend booking with MEI/Mousefan Travel.
Here is the menu. The least expensive item is the Hot Cross Bun. Cast Members were giving out samples when we arrived.
The concierge desk serves as the sales area near the decorated Chocolate Easter Egg Display.
The prices were mostly less expensive than I would have expected. All of the sugar cookies are $7.00.
The sign says that the Butterfly Sugar Cookies are vegan and gluten free.
The White Chocolate Bunny Pop is $6.00.
The Grand Egg is $9.00 and has jelly beans inside. I believe the jelly beans are made also at Disney’s Grand Floridian, since the recipe list does not say otherwise. We purchased it and will show that below at the end of the article. The egg is made of chocolate and comes in different colors.
These don’t look like sugar cookies, I am not sure if they are or not.
This is a Carrot Blondie for $5.00. It looks really good so I may (will) pick that up next time.
These are the Hot Cross Buns.
This is a terrific snack item for $3.00.
The Marshmallow Bunny Pop is $5.00.
1/2 lb. Chocolate Easter Eggs cost $8.00. Again, all the chocolate is made here – these aren’t Hershey’s chocolates (though they look like them!)
Here is the inside to the Mickey Whoopie Pie.
This is the Grand Egg we purchased. It is a purple one, there was the green egg above too, maybe other colors.
The chocolate is hollow so you don’t need anything to break it open. This is an indulgent treat with the crafted chocolate!
Make sure to stop by Disney’s Grand Floridian if you are in the area during the Easter season and pick up a treat! And visit the impressive egg display while you are there.
