4/24 Stitch’s SuperSonic Celebration Walls Down

Hi everyone!

The walls came down at Stitch’s SuperSonic Celebration this morning!  The official Grand Opening date is set for May 6th, but it could soft-open earlier than that.  I was able to take photos and video of the new attraction as it’s preparing for opening.

There are two pieces to this attraction – the larger one is the set where there will be dancers, and Stitch will make a video appearance.  According to Disneyworld.com, you’ll learn “some space-age dance moves and groove to old favorites and original songs with the intergalactic crew on stage”.

These images were taken while the pre-show was showing on the screen.  Normally, the 8 minute pre-show will have sound, but there is none now.   The show itself will be 21 minutes long in addition to the 8 minutes prior.   The pre-show looks like a news broadcast.  I went around the Magic Kingdom and did other updates before heading back to the Stitch area, where there was something different being played on the screen.

Here are the photos!

One bench within the attraction, though there is plenty of seating in the area to watch from.

Stitch’s SuperSonic Celebration celebrates Galaxy Day, which is mentioned often onscreen:
