“Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge” Meta Quest VR Experience Now Open at Disney Springs

There is a limited time Meta Quest VR Experience featuring ILMxLAB’s Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge now open in the space of the former DisneyQuest and NBA Experience. The experience is available for ages 13 years old and up, from May 2nd – July 21st. 2022. We were invited to preview it yesterday just before it opened to the public – and it’s free for guests!

A digital sign gives information about the experience. Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge is available between 12pm and 10pm each day through July 21st, and it says that appointments are available as well.

Jeff and I took turns playing. There are 10 pods for guests. We don’t have a ton of VR experience – for example, I first tried the Aladdin experience in EPCOT in the 90s, then DisneyQuest and we also visited The Void when it was open on two occasions.

The play time is supposed to be about 8 minutes long, plus time for getting the VR headset placed and instructions given. It was more fun than I expected, and the 8 minutes is only a fraction of the full 10 hour game.

Fans who complete the experience on May 4, 2022 will receive this exclusive poster featuring the Guavian Death Gang cell operating on Batuu and their merciless leader, Tara Rashin (Debra Wilson).
