Disney Park and Resort Photo Updates

Disney Springs Photo Update, October 5th 2017 Including Halloween Decorations, Construction and More

Hi everyone!

Here is a fairly quick look around Disney Springs yesterday, it was raining quite a bit on and off so it was a lot of dodging raindrops with a lunch at Art Smith’s Homecomin’ in the middle of it. There are Halloween decoration pictures, some construction and more.

With the rain, the rooftop parking of the Orange parking garage was fully available.

Here is a look at DisneyQuest as the letters were coming down. My first time visiting the attraction was probably the week it opened, it was a really fun place to visit for years.

Here are a couple of more photos of DisneyQuest, which closed July 2nd. This location will be an NBA Experience.

Looking toward Splitsville and other shopping and dining locations. Splitsville will be opening a bowling/dining location at Downtown Disney Anaheim soon.

Jaleo by José Andrés is replacing the former Wolfgang Puck’s location.

The José Andrés website says that “Jaleo at Disney Springs will feature an extensive menu of tapas reflecting the rich regional diversity of traditional and contemporary Spanish cuisine.”

West Side shops listed.

Thor is being promoted at the AMC.

United World Soccer was recently rebranded to Pelé Soccer.

The Candy Cauldron is selling Halloween treats.

Some of the items include candy apples in the form of Jack Skellington, a pumpkin, a ghost and more.

Lunch was at Art Smith’s Homecomin’, it has been quite some time since our last visit here.

Disney Springs now has so  many wonderful restaurants, and Homecomin’ is one of them.

I just wanted to mention that one of the coupons in the Birnbaum’s 2018 book is for a piece of Hummingbird or Shine Cake with the purchase of an appetizer or entree. It is a terrific deal and a better value than the AP discount we would have gotten with our meal.

We stopped in at D-Living, which in the past has changed themes (my favorite was a Beauty and the Beast themed shop). It currently sells Disney t-shirts, no specific theme here right now.

Here is a look at the store.

T-shirts shown on the wall.

Around Disney Springs, there are Halloween banners.

Pumpkin banner.

In Uniqlo, Disney merchandise changes here frequently.

I don’t remember these Pixar t-shirts for Monsters Inc. and Toy Story.

There is a newer Mickey Travels collection, including this jacket with Mickey in Los Angeles.

We headed over to Amorettes.

There is a pumpkin Mickey cake that guests can order.

I am not sure exactly what the name is…Pumpkie? Pumpky? But either way, the cake is cute and available only during the fall.

Here is the pumpkin cake next to the regular Mickey cake.

In World of Disney, there are some nice Halloween decorations and displays.

Donald Duck.

Mickey Mouse. This design seems to be used at nearly all of the Disney parks (I am not sure about Tokyo).

I love the Zero and Jack plush trees, really fun!

Here is the baby Jack tree.

Looking up at all the baby Jack plush figures.

Nightmare Before Christmas decor.

Black and white pumpkins designed for Nightmare Before Christmas.

Outside, Pluto in his costume window display.

Large Mickey inflatable, also by Earl of Sandwich.

Inside the Christmas shop, Mickey and Minnie Halloween figures are in a different location than usual.

Terralina is the new concept replacing Portobello Country Italian Trattoria. The restaurant is part of the Levy Restaurant group and James Beard Award winning chef Tony Mantuano is still heading it up.

It should be open fairly soon.

Wine Bar George is moving along. It says it will open in 2017 but that will now be 2018.

The Edison is also getting closer to opening. This is in the former Adventurers Club location.

A few more photos of The Edison.

Quite a few restaurants are now offering Happy Hour, including STK.

Stargazers at Planet Hollywood also has a Happy Hour.

And here is a quick look over where the Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill will be. This is over near the Coca-Cola Store.

Not too bad an update for racing through Disney Springs. There is still so much more to come in the next year!
