Disney Park and Resort Photo Updates

Disney’s Hollywood Studios Photo Update – June 16th, 2017 Including Slinky Dog Dash Coaster Construction, Cruz Ramirez “Cars 3” Meet

Hi everyone!

Here is a look around Disney’s Hollywood Studios from yesterday.  We already posted photos and video in a different article about Cruz Ramirez from Cars 3 greeting guests beginning yesterday morning. We had been out of town for a couple of weeks, and it was fun to see what has been happening during that time period.

On the way into the parking lot, construction on Slinky Dog Dash coaster in the upcoming Toy Story Land can be seen.

Here are more photos of Slinky Dog Dash coaster and the visible area around it. The date for the opening of Toy Story Land is to be announced at the D23 Expo in Anaheim next month.

This may be Star Wars Land construction, with a building similar to Disneyland. We will see how it looks over the coming weeks.

There is work also going on the Disney’s Hollywood Studios parking lot.

Cars 3 opened yesterday and posters reflected that.

Entering into the park.

Frozen Ever After at Epcot is one of the attractions being promoted on signage.

The morning was very hot but pretty before the storm clouds rolled in.

Death Troopers were greeting guests.

While waiting for Death Troopers, Cast Members handed out cool towelettes. In my 40 years of visiting the parks, I think this is a first for me.

I didn’t end up meeting a Death Trooper, but I enjoyed the towel on a hot day.

This was my first time seeing the Baby Groot Sipper, which has been at DHS for maybe a month now.

From Star Tours, there is a pretty good view of a tiny amount of construction for Star Wars Land – along with a section of the Streets of America buildings being painted. I don’t know what the purpose is yet, but it is nice to see this section staying. Here are some photos of the work that can be seen from this angle.

This view is from Muppets Courtyard.

Passing by Dinosaur Gertie as she blew smoke from her nostrils.

We walked into One Man’s Dream, which still was showing the Cars 3 preview.

The only thing new since a couple of weeks ago is that there is a kiosk selling some Guardians of the Galaxy 2 merchandise outside of the Star-Lord and Baby Groot meet and greet.

The meet and greet for Cruz Ramirez is past Toy Story Midway Mania.

We had already shown the construction wall for the upcoming Toy Story Land entrance with Pixar characters on it in a previous article.

Check out our Cruz Ramirez meet and greet article.

Merchandise can be purchased across the way.

We stopped briefly at the Brown Derby.

The former Catwalk Bar has had construction walls here for weeks, not sure if it will be a future Club 33 location.

Taking a walk down Sunset Blvd.

We haven’t yet seen The Music of Pixar Live! but look forward to doing so in the next week or two.

Banners are set up around the theater.

And Pixar merchandise can be found nearby.

There is also a new Lightning McQueen cupcake.

Spider-Man merchandise has arrived.

We left as the clouds started to roll in.

Here is one more photo of work being done in the parking lot.
