Maria & Enzo’s at Disney Springs Now Serving Weekend Brunch, Our Review from Media Visit

Hi everyone!

We were invited to Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante at Disney Springs to try out their new weekend brunch. Brunch is held from 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Here is a look at our experience!

Maria & Enzo’s has the backstory of being an airline terminal from the 1930s and then turned into an eatery. The ceilings are 50 feet high.

We took one of the last seatings of the day, at 3:15 p.m. It was between lunch and dinner at this point and not busy.

Our view included the Aerophile balloon.

We started with bread and olive oil. The bread is a nice starter but you don’t want to fill up on it too much.

The restaurant brought us a variety of dishes and drinks to try – the dishes are on the main Brunch menu. Most items brought were not what we’d usually have ordered, so it allowed us to try new things. I am partial to the lasagne at Maria & Enzo’s and that is what I usually order when we visit and I highly recommend it. Now to brunch!

The Iced Irish Latte includes Lavazza espresso, Jameson, Bailey’s, Kahlua and simple syrup for $15.00. This is delicious. I am not a coffee drinker but I liked this quite a bit. If I was going to order this, I would do so at the end of the meal.

Taste of Summer is a mocktail with peach puree, orange juice, pineapple juice and cherry syrup for $10.00. If you aren’t looking for alcohol, it is a refreshing fruit drink.

On the menu, the Margarita Flight information says it is a sample of all three specialty margaritas: Pomegranate, Grapefruit, Italian for $25.00. In reality, there was blood orange instead of grapefruit. The blood orange flavor is so good here. I don’t generally drink margaritas, I can’t drink that much tequila but I did enjoy the blood orange and pomegranate flavors immensely. And it is a pretty presentation.

The Smoked Salmon Board features tomatoes, red onion, capers, chive mascarpone, hard boiled eggs, and toasted schiacciata bread for $24.00. This was Jeff’s favorite item of what we tried, with a nice amount of salmon.

The Crunch Toast has cornflake crusted brioche, Nutella, mascarpone, and strawberry compote for $23.00. This is quite tasty but a big portion, something I would have ordered to split with one or two others. I also think just a little more Nutella would be preferable for the dish, the hazelnut flavor goes nicely with the brioche.

Here is a look from the side.

The Eggs Benedetto features toasted house focaccia, prosciutto di parma, poached eggs and pargmigiano crema for $24.00. This is a very rich dish. I don’t eat poached eggs so Jeff was on his own with this. He liked the flavor but he couldn’t eat more than maybe 1/4 of the dish and said it’d be a good sharing item.

Next is the Spaghetti Carbonara Americana with thick cut spaghetti, parmigiana, applewood bacon, and soft poached egg for $28.00. I didn’t mix the egg in. The Parmesan gave a nice flavor to the spaghetti. While I tend to order the lasagne at Maria & Enzo’s, I also really like the spaghetti as well.

We were brought a Dessert Flight with Chocolate Covered Berry, Pistachio Dream, Lemon Cream Pie, $22.00. I am more partial to the Margarita Flight, but I did especially like the creaminess and taste of the Lemon Cream Pie drink.

The Tiramisu includes ladyfinger cookies, mascarpone cheese, coffee and cocoa powder for $16.00. This is another of our go-to items at Maria & Enzo’s when dining on our own. It is a nice ending to the meal – not too out of the ordinary from other versions but creamy and delicious.

Most of the dishes here are only on the brunch menu. If you are more in the mood for other pastas, salads, a ribeye, etc. – there is quite a nice selection that is not brunch dedicated to also order. Of the brunch items we tried, my favorite was the Crunch Toast and Jeff’s was the Salmon Board. We recommend most of the drinks we tried.

Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante is located in the Landing area of Disney Springs, not far from the Orange parking garage.
