Gideon’s Bakehouse Introduces New Cookie Flavor, New Joe Rohde Inspired Character for 2022

Gideon’s Bakehouse is starting 2022 off with a new character, Dr. Tobias Brimstone. He is inspired by former Imagineer Joe Rohde, down to the iconic earring. The artwork has an Adventurer’s Club vibe and there is merchandise also being sold (a t-shirt, limited edition print and candle). This also ushers in a new flavor, the Banana Bread Chocolate Chip Cookie. Read more below!

Happy New Year! We’re starting 2022 with a new flavor as our January Limited Edition! The Banana Bread Chocolate Chip Cookie is a title that says it all! Enjoy a decadent Vanilla Bean Cookie infused with Bananas found in the lost jungles of Southeast Asia by adventurer, explorer and scientist, Dr. Tobias Brimstone. We’ve mixed this flavorful gift with our favorite blend of Chocolates, Candied Walnuts, and finely crushed Banana Chips! This delightful new Cookie is available at both locations, Gideon’s at Disney Springs and the original location in the East End Market, every day of January. Limit 2 per person.⁣⁣

The Story of Dr. Tobias Brimstone

For those who have followed our story, it’s little mystery that Gideon’s inherited an assemblage of rare and strange items when we took over the space vacated long ago by the curious bookseller Jonathan Lindwurm. But the question remains, how did he acquire such fascinating objects? Ladies and gentlemen, may we introduce you to Dr. Tobias Brimstone, the explorer, adventurer, and scientist hired to hunt down pieces for Mr. Lindwurm’s vast collection. It’s said the intrepid Doctor would venture to the darkest reaches of the globe in search of ancient books, idols, and other antiquities. In some instances, Dr. Brimstone was sent to investigate unbelievable tales of unique creatures. In his writings, we find mention of mermaids, a half-bat man, a boy with the head of an orange, and a girl with a similar affliction. This led us to believe that Tobias himself was the conduit connecting these fantastical characters. What secrets will the Doctor discover next?
