There are a plethora of restaurant choices in Orlando to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner at, but few will offer the variety of food and entertainment options that the deluxe on-site Loews hotels at Universal Orlando will. Several restaurants will be donating $1.00 from every meal to Feeding Children Everywhere, a local charity that gets meals to hungry children. And if you can’t make it to one of these gorgeous hotels for Thanksgiving, there are other events coming up (a couple listed below). Keep reading for the press release!
ORLANDO, FL – (November 5, 2014) – The deluxe on-site hotels at Universal Orlando Resort are featuring a festive lineup of Thanksgiving celebrations for 2014. From holiday buffets with live entertainment to a tree-lighting luau and Holiday Harbor Nights, the resorts will glisten with holiday decorations and the spirit of the season. This Thanksgiving, $1 from each meal at Islands Dining Room, The Kitchen restaurant and Trattoria del Porto will be donated to Feeding Children Everywhere, a local charity that empowers and mobilizes people to assemble healthy meals for hungry children.

Loews Royal Pacific Resort – Islands Dining Room
A holiday buffet will be served from 10:00 am – 8:00 pm on Thanksgiving Day, featuring roasted Caroline turkey, smoked ham, almond crusted salmon, stuffed quail, sushi and stir-fry station, omelet station and iced raw bar, along with an array of freshly baked breads, pastries, cakes and pies. Entertainment will feature Universal Orlando characters, face painter and balloonist, islands musician and hula dancer. Hard Rock Hotel – The Kitchen restaurant
A Thanksgiving Day buffet will be offered from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm and 5:00 – 10:00 pm, featuring a chilled seafood bar, roasted maple brined turkey, slow-roasted country ham, hickory-smoked New York strip and baked gremolata Atlantic salmon, plus traditional side dishes, salads, soup, kid-friendly items and desserts. Loews Portofino Bay Hotel – Trattoria del Porto
A sparkling wine buffet will be served from 11:00 am – 8:00 pm on Thanksgiving Day, featuring roasted turkey with wild mushroom and thyme stuffing, baked ham, garlic-crusted roast beef, chilled seafood, omelet and crepes station, pasta station, all the trimmings, plus desserts. Entertainment will include a strolling musician, Universal Orlando characters, children’s holiday craft and activity table, face painter and balloon twister. Loews Portofino Bay Hotel – Gather Together Thanksgiving Celebration
A joyful tribute to the first Thanksgiving feast will be hosted in the Tuscan Ballroom, with seating beginning at 4:30 pm. Enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving buffet with turkey and all the trimmings, live entertainment, plus crafts, storytelling, face painters, traditional drumming and dancing for the children.
