2/9 Universal Orlando VIP Tour
A month or so back, I was invited by Eric at Orlando Fun Tickets to participate with other websites in a VIP tour of Universal Orlando . I'd already done a VIP tour in Hollywood on my own, which was a lot of fun. So I was definitely interested! A number of other sites were represented, including Jim Hill Media, Miceage, Orlando Rocks , and JefflangeDVD.com. It was quite a group!!!
I have been asked often about doing Universal photo walks – when I can afford to purchase an annual pass, I definitely will (hopefully Universal will have a special out again soon!)
We started the day with a quick tour of the Orlando Fun Tickets office. I already have photos on the front page of the site of the lobby. It's a really nice location near Dowtown Disney! We received a meal voucher coupon, itinerary, and valet parking was included as well. There was an open slot at the last minute, so Steve was able to join the group as well.
It was a perfect day out:
We drove up to the valet area (very convenient, but I wouldn't pay extra for it normally):
And we were on our way! (Led by Eric, Kerri and Courtney of Orlando Fun Tickets ).
We went to the VIP Lounge at Islands of Adventure . Bottled water, granola bars and coffee were available. We also met our VIP tour guide, Kendra (who was FANTASTIC!)
We then were on our way through the park.
Our first stop was at the Hulk coaster. Eric laughed in the face of danger!:
We stood outside the attraction for a few minutes as Kendra gave us information about it (7 inversions, and can go between 0 – 40 to 0 – 60 in 1.5 seconds, depending on the vehicle load). Jeff, Steve and Russ:
We skipped Dr. Doom, and were led through the back into Spiderman (which I don't have a photo of!):
