Great American Pie Festival Celebrates 13th Year in Celebration, Florida This Weekend

Hi everyone!

This is the thirteenth year in a row for the Celebration Pie Festival! On April 26th and 27th, 2014, one buffet ticket will allow guests to try unlimited samples.

Tickets for the Never Ending Pie Buffet are only $10 for adults and $5 for seniors 65+ and children 6-12. It really is a bargain!

Bakers Square Restaurants and Pies, Legendary Baking Kroger’s Private Selection, Publix, and Village Inn will be among the booths serving up delicious servings of pie! And children and adults can make their own pies at the Comstock Creation Station. Many other activities, including a pie eating contest, are part of the fun! The children’s area does cost $10.00 extra per child, but entertainment and many activities are free. This is a great event for the entire family, and has become a tradition for us. The event runs on Saturday, April 26th from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m, and Sunday, April 27th from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

11:30AM – Listen to the Jazz Chefs while Legendary Baking makes a 4′ PIE to benefit Second Harvest.
12:30PM – See Francine Bryson, runner up on CBS’ America’s Baking Competition, tells how it was filming a television show and baking under pressure!
1:30PM – Susan Spungen, Hollywood Food Stylist, author and entertainment expert will share her secrets!
2:10PM – The Rhapsody Baton Twirlers
2:30PM – Susan Reid, King Arthur Flour, tells how to make a great pie crust using King Arthur Flour!
3:30PM – Iron Pie Maker Challenge. Get your Team together and you can compete! See the Pie Lady on Stage!
4:30PM – The Apron Contest – Get out your cutest apron, strut your stuff and the best apron (strutting counts) will win a $250 Emile Henry Gift Certificate
5:30PM – Chef Joe DiPaolo, Duncan Hines, shows how to put your own spin on the filling, while using Comstock Wilderness pie fillings!
6:30PM – APC National Pie Championships Amateur Award Ceremony!

Sunday:
