Disneyland Paris Officially Reopens to Guests After Nearly 8 Month Closure
Hi everyone!
We are at Disneyland Paris and Jeff is currently covering the reopening media event as I type this. The parks have been closed since the end of October, 2020 and Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park officially reopened today after two days of Annual Passholder previews. It is wonderful to see Disneyland Paris not only open but so beautifully tended to, including some ride refurbishments and gorgeous landscaping. And of course, it is great to see our friends and Cast Members at the parks!
Cast Members from Pirates of the Caribbean pose on Main Street this morning.
Cast Members line Main Street U.S.A., waving to guests.
Guests arrive for the day. The parks are at a limited capacity. Masks and social distancing are in place here, just as when other Disney parks reopened.
Yesterday I took photos around the parks, here are just a few. I will be sharing much more.
The Disneyland Hotel is now closed for a lengthy refurbishment, but this view has maybe never looked better. I don’t remember seeing the water look so perfectly blue.
Bert and Mary as topiaries share a dance.
On Main Street U.S.A., banners include Jiminy Cricket.
Bambi and friends add some color – there are several character displays (the Aristocats are here too).
The audio on Phantom Manor sounded fantastic yesterday. The stretching room is a little differently laid out with plexiglass but it is running. The plants and trees really set the scene.
Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast also had a big refurbishment. I am really impressed by all the work done in the last 8 months!
I found Cast Member Raphael near Mickey and Minnie on my way out yesterday.
We rode Cars ROAD TRIP at Walt Disney Studios Park, which I will write about soon. I am so glad to be here and able to enjoy the parks, friends and Paris.
