Topiary Dragon Returns to Japan Pavilion for Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival 2021
Hi everyone!
Last year, the Bromeliad Dragon from the China pavilion of Epcot was moved to Japan and given a new look for the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. The dragon in Japan is no longer made of bromeliads but I was told of sedum plants. I have one photo below of the Bromeliad Dragon as well to show the similarities/differences. Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival runs from March 3rd – July 5th, 2021. Here are photos of the Japan dragon!
The topiary dragon is in front of the Torii gate.
You can see the similarities with the Bromeliad Dragon especially in the slope of its body.
This is a photo of the Bromeliad Dragon from a couple of years ago. The face, tail, feet, etc. were changed quite a bit but you can see the shape of its body is the same.
Here is a close-up on the dragon’s face on this side.
And its talons.
And a look at the tail.
From this angle, the dragon looks more compact – the other side is a lot more impressive.
A Friendship Boat can be seen in the background.
The tail is seen in this picture.
And one last photo of the topiary dragon.
This will be the longest of the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festivals ever with 4 full months! I’ll be posting quite a bit about the Festival in the coming weeks, it is my favorite event and my favorite time of the year.
