Topiaries Springing up Ahead of Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival 2021
Hi everyone!
The Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is just a couple of weeks away now – the event begins March 3rd, 2021! And not only are flowers and gardens being planted, but topiaries are springing up ahead of the festival as they always do. We went out to Epcot today and found quite a few had been added since our last visit.
Here is a look first at the main flower quilt. It has grown in a lot since it was planted. There will be probably 3 plantings through the festival of seasonal flowers.
Some of the plants here looked more recently added. I love the purple and yellow quilt.
Mickey can be seen here.
Canada is looking really beautiful with flowers as well. Victoria Gardens is always in bloom but never more brilliantly than during the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival.
The Shakespeare Garden is back near the United Kingdom restrooms (or loos).
Pooh & Friends are out in the United Kingdom. Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore are in the first photo.
Eeyore carries Piglet on his back.
Rabbit has eyes this year. Some of the topiaries have a bit of a different look for 2021.
Pooh holds his balloon.
Peter Pan received a new, sculpted look last year. The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival was cut very short in 2020 due to the pandemic and so he will be new for most guests.
Here is our video of the UK pavilion and then more photos.
The Eiffel Tower in the France pavilion is in the background.
The first topiary who had received a sculpted look was Snow White in 2014. Most years since then there has been at least one updated topiary, not including new ones.
Captain Hook also is slightly modified from other years.
Goofy passed by Peter Pan.
Mickey and Minnie wave.
The teacups were added a few days ago to the United Kingdom garden.
Alice was in the garden for a while.
She has a distanced meet here.
The Tinker Bell topiary was also updated last year.
She can be seen from the back here.
The butterfly in the International Gateway looks gorgeous – new flowers were planted in the last couple of weeks.
A pink Tabebuia tree is to the left.
Over in China, the pandas look like they are playing. This was a new location for them last year.
This is a much better location for them with great backgrounds.
The troll also looks different this year.
He is elevated in a different Norway location since last year.
Queen Anna was out greeting guests from a distance.
She is here with Queen Elsa in topiary form.
Elsa and Anna debuted as topiaries in 2015.
We had posted about the butterfly topiaries previously.
Bambi, Thumper and Flower went in about a week ago near Mouse Gear. They were among the only topiaries still out when the parks reopened last July (Remy in France was the other).
Bambi and Flower look a little different than other years.
That is it for today! The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is my favorite time of year and I love to share it. I plan to go back Sunday to see what is new – so expect more from the festival prep on Monday! I look forward to one last look at Taste of Epcot International Festival of the Arts before that ends on the 22nd.
