8/6 Epcot Update – Cruella, Jane from Tarzan Greet Guests, France Boulangerie Construction Walls
Hi everyone!
We had a fun few hours at Epcot today, starting with finding Jane from Tarzan in the International Gateway! We then learned that Cruella De Vil was also doing a special meet & greet (both were likely one-time events). Later, we found some fun new shirts in World Showcase, and walked into the Souvenirs de France shop, with walls cutting the space nearly in half for the upcoming Boulangerie Patisserie expansion.
Here is Jane, we stopped for for a couple of minutes to talk with her. You can find our video here!
Food and Wine Festival construction in Canada:
The former Drinking Around the World t-shirt is at the Disney outlets, but this one popped up a few weeks ago – it shows the drinks, but with food.
We have video of Cruella chasing a rabbit, and then greeting us!
The kid's fountain is cordoned off:
Construction near Germany for the Food & Wine Festival:
There were several new character t-shirts in Germany!
Mickey, Donald and Goofy, Chip and Dale play in the Oktoberfest band!
Goofy makes eyes at either the German girl in the clock or the pretzel, I'm not sure which:
Donald's free good luck pickle gets carted away by Chip and Dale!
These unique t-shirts are still for sale, "I Know a Little German" with either Goofy or Dopey:
Italy also has some new character merchandise, including a Donald Duck apron and Goofy clock (along with magnets, lithos, etc.)
Star topiaries in the American Pavilion:
Food and Wine Festival work near Morocco:
And we stopped in France – I've been following the construction information a little for the Boulangerie Patisserie, but hadn't realized that the construction walls would be inside Souvenirs de France. The shop seems to be nearly in half, with less merchandise – and I didn't see the Kidcot area there. The Boulangerie Patisserie will be more toward the back of the pavilion, with an ice cream parlor where the current one stands!
And in case you'd like a pressed coin, "This Coin Press is being refurbished for your future enjoyment"!
It was a pretty quick trip, but a fun walk-around ! We always enjoy finding unique characters in the parks.
