Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Lion King Section Family Suite Photo Tour

Hi everyone!

We've already put up an outdoor Lion King photo tour at Disney's Art of Animation Resort (you can see all of our Art of Animation Resort outdoor photo tours here). I wanted to share some photos from inside the suite today!

Apparently I still need to put up the Nemo and Cars section family suite photo tours as well. I hope to get those done soon, when I have time!

We do have up a Lion King Family Suite Video Tour, along with 48 videos in our YouTube Playlist of Disney's Art of Animation Resort – starting from the beginning of construction, until now!

I recommend Fairy Godmother Travel for your Disney trip, they can help answer questions about this new resort (or any other one!) Let them know that Mousesteps sent you!

This is the view of the living room when walking inside. Each family suite offers a living room with pull-out couch, dining area with a pull-down bed and a bedroom. We were told by someone who works at DRC that there is confusion with many guests regarding the family suites and standard rooms. The only standard rooms are in the Little Mermaid section. If you have a family of 5 (unless one is an infant under 3), you'll need to stay in a family suite if at Disney's Art of Animation Resort – or two Little Mermaid rooms. If you have a family of 4 or less, you can stay at any of the sections. The price at the Little Mermaid section is much less due to the rooms not being family suites.

This is the kitchenette, which includes a mini-refrigerator, microwave and sink. We always bring a meal from home to enjoy in the suite (we live very close), and eat the rest of our meals in the Landscape of Flavors food court. If you are needing to purchase groceries, I recommend Garden Grocer – they deliver to your resort!

There are two coffee tables, one has the words to "Hakuna Matata" and the other to "I Just Can't Wait to Be King".

I haven't pulled the couch out, but Jeff has – and he says it's very easy.

This is the dining area with seating for 4, along with the pull-down bed that features a sleeping Simba. We found this bed more comfortable than the firm one in the bedroom.
