7/30 Disney’s Art of Animation Resort – Lion King Section With Rafiki, Timon, Scar, Simba, More!

Hi everyone!

This should be our last update of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort before the Lion King fences comes down! We’ve enjoyed staying at each resort area as it opens – one night per section. For those who have asked, we have paid for each night ourselves (discounted), to bring you the best coverage of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort!

There is now a dedicated turn lane on the way from Disney’s Hollywood Studios onto Victory Way (there had been construction on it the last few months).

The fence has been lowered at the entrance to the Lion King section, giving a better view into the area. Rafiki is fully finished, and we had a good view of – well, the rear ends of a lot of characters! Mufasa, Simba, Pumba, and the side of Timon are all easily visible. And keep reading, I was able to get a glimpse of Scar!

I was surprised that the stairway looked fully open (we didn’t climb it). 

 

We tried walking around the building, but there was a barrier to let guests know not to pass further, so we didn’t. There were new things to see here, including Timon on the side of the building, and signs:
