TRON Construction From Various Angles at Magic Kingdom, January 2021
Hi everyone!
We stayed on Walt Disney World property this past week and I took photos of the TRON Lightcycle Run progress from various areas inside and outside of the Magic Kingdom. The interior was sealed off and the rumors have been that we won’t see the attraction open this year for the 50th – but I wanted to give a look at it since I haven’t in a while.
From the Swiss Family Treehouse, the canopy can be seen here with Cinderella Castle in frame.
This is a great location to take photos from, though my favorite is the Wedway People Mover (when it is open, and I hope that will be soon since it’s my favorite ride in the Magic Kingdom).
Looking to the right, Space Mountain can be seen.
The night before the photo above, I took this photo from the Swiss Family Treehouse. The view when TRON is complete should be really nice.
We rode on the Tomorrowland Speedway one night.
The construction looks huge here.
Walking toward Main Street from Liberty Square gives a nice angle.
The Astro Orbitor gives an overview of the canopy as well as the People Mover.
The People Mover work was scheduled to be completed today (January 10th, 2021). It was delayed again but has been testing so maybe we will see it open this month.
The wall was sealed up here in the past week.
I went over to Storybook Circus.
Here are a few photos from this location.
And also from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. In the past I’ve taken photos from the Grand Floridian but I didn’t do much of that during this trip.
I hope Disney will give an update soon on when TRON is scheduled to be completed. But in the meantime, we have the France expansion with Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure scheduled to open this year (it was originally to open last summer).
