Living with the Land Holiday Overlay Returns to EPCOT for 2024 Season (Photos, Video)

Hi everyone!

Living with the Land – Glimmering Greenhouses at EPCOT was decked out and twinkling for the holiday season yesterday! This is the Living with the Land holiday overlay, offering a festive look at the four working greenhouses during a relaxing boat ride.

First, here is our video. Photos follow.

While EPCOT Festival of the Holidays kicks off on November 29th, the park is already very decorated – and that includes Living with the Land.

When entering the greenhouses, there is again a guide for “Citrus”, “Spice”, “Sweets” and “Feasts” this year.

The experience is different day vs. night. We rode yesterday with little wait during the day, but the line was much longer in the evening with guests wanting to see the holiday lights.

Living with the Land has been decorated for years, but it officially received the name Living with the Land: Merry and Bright Nights back in 2019, which switched to Living with the Land – Glimmering Greehouses a couple of years ago.

A snowman family stands among presents.

At night, they are illuminated.

The logo for The Land is on an ornament.

The logo also is here with presents in front of it.

Various wreaths can be found throughout the greenhouses. This one has various fruits, including bananas.

Heading through the fish farm, it also looks different day and at night (even though it is fairly dark at any time of day).

Nighttime is when it really illuminates!

Reindeer antlers and nose can be found on what is a Mickey shaped plant.

This is one of my favorite areas to ride though.

On one of the sides, there is currently a Mickey head in the lettuce that is being grown. Another area says EPCOT.

This display includes fruits like apples and oranges, with presents themed to the ride.

Look for the symbols from the beginning of the ride! This symbol signifies sweets.

A tree in the background features snowflake ornaments.

Stockings and ornaments can be found at the Biotechnology Lab.

Monty and Les are two names on the stockings.

The last scene includes presents, cookies and a beverage, and slippers.

We are looking forward to the kickoff of EPCOT Festival of the Holidays in just one week! Yesterday was a nice look at the various decorations and trees around the park, as well as the ride through Living with the Land – Glimmering Greenhouses.
