Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Studio Villa Room #1011 Tour (Photos, Video) From October, 2020

Hi everyone!

We stayed for 3 nights at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort in a Studio Villa this past week (in October 2020). The price was too good to pass up, and we both have been visiting the resort since the 1970s. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is still my favorite resort after all these years. The resort is officially closed until summer 2021, but the Disney Vacation Club portion is open as is the Great Ceremonial House (‘Ohana and Trader Sams are both still closed). There are changes coming to the resort – the front entrance is currently being renovated and the monorail platform will be unavailable starting November 2nd for the time being. Here is a look at our Studio Villa #1011 with information about the resort changes coming.

We stayed in the Moorea longhouse.

This is a look at the entrance to the longhouse. Several buildings were converted into Disney Vacation Club studios in 2015.

The longhouse entry has a nice area for sitting.

There is artwork on the walls nearby.

 

It was really fun to get to walk the hallway and know we were staying.

Room 1011.

The room has one king size bed, a couch pull-out and a Murphy bed. At 465 square feet, the Studio Villas are the largest on property.

We were on the first floor with a patio and a nice garden view. The way the shrubs and trees are here, it feels a little more off the beaten path.

Back to the room. The coffee table in front of the couch opens so you can put stuff in it.

Birds are part of the wall art.

By the bed was a small table and the remote was sitting on it.

We had stayed one night at a BoardWalk villa in June, and the remote was in plastic – I wasn’t sure whether to take it out so I just left it in. This time we unwrapped it (I still wiped it down with a Lysol wipe). For the time being, I bring wipes to sanitize touch points.

A Maui lamp sits on this table, which was comfortable for computer use.

Sometimes these lamps are sold in BouTiki, but there were none when we were there.

Maui did make a friend when Christmas merchandise arrived to BouTiki.

The Murphy bed is below the large television.

As with all DVC Studio Villas, there is a kitchenette.

Included are a toaster and coffee maker.

Joffrey’s coffee (one regular, one decaf) were placed here along with a few Twinings tea bags.

There was a spare roll of towels along with individually wrapped plates, silverware and cups. This is how it was at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort in June.

The split bathroom is VERY spacious, it takes up a lot of real estate in the villa. It is nice to have two places to get ready.

This is the smaller of the bathrooms, with a shower and sink. There is a rain shower.

The bathroom with the toilet is so huge. I didn’t use the tub or shower here.

Both rooms had H20 products.

We spent a lot of time on the patio. It was a really nice, relaxing location to eat breakfast and to unwind. The patio is really large.

While I have had the Tonga Toast many times through the years, I don’t remember ordering the Macadamia Nut Pancakes at Kona Cafe previously. We mobile ordered this dish twice and it would have been more if we stayed longer.

That is it for the room, but I wanted to show the laundry room down the hall quickly too.

It is large, has a TV and plenty of washers and dryers along with a seating area. The seating area includes two tiki shirts framed above it.

We had such a nice visit to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. We live in the Orlando area and are in the parks a couple of days per week but since we aren’t traveling right now, I expect we will have a couple more of these stays (either Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort or elsewhere). My early morning walks were so lovely, and soon we will have an additional walkway that goes all the way to the Magic Kingdom (from Disney’s Grand Floridian, which can be walked to from the Ticket and Transportation Center).
