We Meet Big Al and Wendell in New Country Bear Musical Jamboree Costumes (Photos, Video)

Hi everyone!

Big Al and Wendell will roam and meet in Frontierland wearing their new Country Bear Musical Jamboree costumes at the Magic Kingdom starting on July 17th, 2024 – the date that the Country Bear Musical Jamboree officially opens. We have photos and video of them from the media preview we attended this past week.

The duo roam Frontierland pretty regularly, as do Romeo McGrowl (formerly Liver Lips McGrowl) and Terrence (Shaker). We were told that just Big Al and Wendell will wear new costumes – at least for now.

First, here is our video meeting both characters, as well as a look at them in the Country Bear Musical Jamboree show.

The marquee sign for the Country Bear Musical Jamboree was unveiled at Grizzly Hall on Wednesday morning.

Big Al is at the center of the sign, wearing his new vest.

We were able to meet both Big Al and Wendell. Big Al posed in front of the marquee sign.

Big Al looks like he is welcoming us to his new attraction.

He gets less time in the show than I expected. Here is a look at Big Al and his guitar.

Next, we met Wendell. His outfit has changed more from the original than Big Al’s did.

Wendell looks toward Grizzly Hall.

His outfit is similar but not exactly the same as the attraction (the vest here is just the look of brown leather).

Here is one last look at Wendell from our meet.

And here is Wendell in the attraction. Check out his vest here. His purple scarf and western hat look the same.
