Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Gingerbread Giraffe Display Returns for 2024 Holiday Season

Hi everyone!

The 7-foot tall gingerbread giraffe (‘Gingeraffe’) has returned to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge for the holiday season, as has Debra the gingerbread zebra – and new this year is Francisco the Flamingo!

We stopped by Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge a few evenings ago and have photos to share, including of the two hidden Mickeys.

Ginger, Debra and Francisco are in a display that evokes the savannas that are part of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.

A sign lets guests know about this growing gingerbread holiday tradition. Ginger is about the size of a young giraffe on the savanna.

Here is a photo from above.

There are a lot of great details on the trio.

The animals are created using:

34 pounds of honey, 27 pounds of flour, 1.5 pounds of gingerbread spices, one dozen eggs, one pound simple syrup and 12 pounds of dark modeling chocolate (and of course, a lot of talent from the bakery team and some pixie dust!)

Debra’s fur and eyelashes can be seen here.

She has a hidden Mickey on her side.

Here are some photos of Ginger, who also sports a hidden Mickey.

The Christmas tree shines beautifully in the background.

The hidden Mickey is on one leg.

Francisco makes his debut this year, adding vibrant color to the display.

The display is a must-see if you have time this year! There are also treats and drinks for sale in the afternoon/evening.

What do you think of the Gingeraffe display at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge?
