‘Moana 2’ Concept Art Display Now at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Photos, Video)
Hi everyone!
A Moana 2 concept art case with maquettes is now on display at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, replacing the Inside Out 2 display that was here for months. Moana 2 will arrive in theaters on November 27th, 2024! The book The Art of Moana 2 is also arriving next week, with much more concept art.
There isn’t as much concept art as was here for Inside Out 2, but there are two sides plus four maquettes – Moana, Maui, Pua and Hei Hei inside Walt Disney Presents.
Here is a look at the display in video, followed by photos.
The display case is located in the center of the room.
A Moana 2 poster is also nearby. There is no preview for the film, the theater is still showing the preview for Inside Out 2.
The first maquette is of Moana.
The sign below her says, “A driven leader in her village of Motunui, Moana has an unrelenting desire to explore new shores and distant islands.”
Here are a couple of more maquette angles.
A sign nearby also talks about Moana 2 and the artwork and maquettes.
Artwork can be found behind Moana and Maui.
Portraits of Maui and Moana look similar to their maquettes.
Maui holds his fish hook as part of the maquette.
The sign below him says, “Demigod of the wind and sea, Maui returns with hook in hand to aid Moana in her new journey”.
The Maui artwork can be seen in the same frame as the maquette here.
The other side of the display case features Pua and Hei Hei maquettes.
Hei Hei is one of my favorite characters from the original film!
Under Hei Hei, it says, “Back for another adventure, Hei Hei is a veteran sailor who still knows nothing about sailing.
Pua has the little tuft of hair on his head.
Under Pua, it says “Moana’s adorable pig Pua is determined to help his friends by joining the canoe crew this time around.”
Here is a look at artwork from this side of the case, starting with Pua and Hei Hei.
Will you be seeing Moana 2 when it opens in theaters next week?
