Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel Gingerbread House Readies for November 22nd, 2024 Opening (Photos)

Hi everyone!

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel Gingerbread House is readying for its November 22nd, 2024 opening. The gingerbread house is being built in the lobby of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa at the Disneyland Resort.

The house is a “Craftsman-style interpretation” of the hotel itself, including representation of the fireplace and stained glass windows.

Here are photos from yesterday!

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel Gingerbread House is 7 feet tall and 12 feet wide, and the wooden infrastructure weighs 700 pounds. There will be 25 hidden Mickeys!

The recipe calls for:

600 pounds of gingerbread, 600 pounds powdered sugar, 250 pounds fondant, 1,152 eggs, and 1 pound of glitter.

There is a peppermint hidden Mickey, and three character-inspired stockings over the fireplace.

The stockings are inspired by Chip, Dale and Pluto.

Acorns decorate the Chip and Dale stockings, and there is a brown pom and a red pom for their noses. The Pluto stocking features bones and a hidden Mickey.

The beautiful stained glass at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel is represented.

Candy sticks were being added to the house.

Here is a look at another section of the house.

And here is a look from a couple of angles. There wasn’t much to see at the back of the house.

The Grand Californian Great Hall cart is open and selling treats. There was a long line yesterday.

The Gingerbread man look like the same one I purchased at Starbucks.

Here is a look at the treat prices.

What do you think of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel Gingerbread House?

We won’t be here in California when it is completed, but it was fun to stop by to see the progress.
