Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic Names Wounded Warrior Project as 2024 Charity Beneficiary

Hi everyone!

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic has named the Wounded Warrior Project as the charity beneficiary for 2024. My dad was a blind veteran who spent his whole life helping other wounded veterans, so this is a charity that is very meaningful to me. The event will be held from 5:30-9:30 p.m. on November 15th and November 16th, and tickets can be purchased here.

The Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic has been our favorite foodie event for years! Guests can enjoy unlimited tastings of food and beverage selections from the hotel’s restaurants (for example, the Shula’s booth will have its amazing Roasted Linz Heritage Black Angus Beef Tenderloin with Baked Marble Potatoes, Caramelized Onion Purée, Horseradish and Béarnaise Sauce).

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Oct. 3, 2024 – The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic has named Wounded Warrior Project as the charitable beneficiary for the 15th annual event, taking place during National Veterans and Military Families Month, Friday, Nov. 15 and Saturday, Nov. 16. The nonprofit organization will receive a monetary donation comprised of event proceeds.

Founded in 2003, Wounded Warrior Project, headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla., helps veterans who served in the military on or after Sept. 11, 2001, and incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound during or after service. The nonprofit’s free programs and services include mental health, career counseling, and long-term rehabilitative care. The organization will also be represented at the event, offering thousands of attendees an opportunity to learn more about its worthy cause.

“Giving back is an important part of our mission at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, and as a veteran myself, Wounded Warrior Project is a cause that’s particularly special to me,” said Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Area General Manager Sean Verney. “We’re humbled to partner with this truly life-changing organization for this landmark year of our Food & Wine Classic.”

“The support we’re receiving from the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic helps Wounded Warrior Project honor and empower warriors in their communities,” said Brea Kratzert Todd, Wounded Warrior Project vice president of business development. “Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, warriors and their families never pay a penny for our programs and services.”
