A Detailed Look at the Evil Queen as The Hag Chocolate Display at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel

Hi everyone!

Evil Queen as The Hag makes for an amazing chocolate display inside Disney’s Grand Californian during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. There is actually more to this chilling confection than just chocolate, and I’ll show that later – but nearly 500 pounds of this display is comprised of chocolate and fondant.

We have a video to share, followed by photos. This includes of some hidden Mickeys and treats for sale!

The Hag is dipping the apple into the cauldron of poison, which also has a bone sticking out.

The Evil Queen as The Hag’s nails are sharp and pointy.

The poisoned apple hangs on a string from her fingers.

The cauldron is standing on what looks like legs and feet with talons.

The Scary Trees can be seen around the scene.

A sign nearby talks about the ingredients.

250 eggs, 250 pounds of powdered sugar, 100 pounds of rice cereal, 60 pounds of marshmallow, 200 pounds of dark chocolate, 80 pounds of white chocolate, and 200 pounds of fondant create this amazing display.

Here is a look from the side of The Hag.

The raven looks on nearby.

There are 13 hidden Mickeys to discover. I will show some of them, so this is a spoiler. Finding hidden Mickeys in the display is a challenge in that they are all presented differently.

One of the hidden Mickeys is on a rock.

There is one on a mushroom.

Mushrooms can be seen throughout the display, which does continue to the back.

A hidden Mickey can be seen on the basket of apples.

The leaves all look like they are created from fondant/chocolate.

Here is the back of The Hag.

These three mushrooms form a hidden Mickey.

There is also one on a tree.

I had found one in a rock formation but the photo is blurry. Do you still want to see that? And Jeff found this one at the bottom of the cauldron.

Here are a couple of photos further out, and then a quick look at treats for sale – including gingerbread.

Disney’s Grand Californian Great Hall Cart features items like a Gingerbread Pumpkin Cookie for $10 and an Apple Crumble Loaf Cake for $15.00.

The Poison Apple Cookie is $10.

The Gingerbread Pumpkin Cookie is also $10.

I am not sure which treat this is, but it has the Evil Queen in her other form.

The Crumble Loaf Cake for $15.00 is beneath it.

This looks like the Halloween Crisp Riced Treat for $9. Evil Queen as The Hag can be seen on it.

There are also Chocolate Chip Cookie Shots. These come either with milk or liqueur.

The Evil Queen as the Hag chocolate display is SO amazing! The team at the resort did such an impressive job with this.

What do you think of the display? We always enjoy Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, there is so much to see throughout the parks and resorts.
