Hades Brings the Heat to Oogie Boogie Bash 2024 (Photos, Video)

Hi everyone!

Hades began appearing at Oogie Boogie Bash this past week at the Hollywood Backlot Stage in Disney California Adventure, where live-action Cruella de Vil had been the past few years. He is one of two new villains this year along treat trails, with the other being Dr. Doofenshmirtz. Guests can pick up fun treats and enjoy the musings of Hades – and maybe even see him bringing the heat.

This location is better experienced after dark.

Hades Hideaway is the name of the location during Oogie Boogie Bash.

Hades has a throne he sometimes sits on, and he is flanked there by two vases.

Most of the time, Hades is blue with blue hair.

He has long, tapered fingers.

He came up to the end of the stage to interact with guests. There is a carpet that guests can step off onto for photos and interactions, which allows the trick-or-treat queue line to move.

Hades got fired up once upon the chanting of “Hercules”. Another time, he worked himself up talking about Zeus.

When he gets angry, his hair turns red and the lighting on the stage is as well.

This is something you may need to wait for. It seems to happen every few minutes or so.

Oogie Boogie Bash is our favorite Halloween event to attend. The different villainous treat trails are like live theater and interactive. Other characters along trails include Madam Mim, Oogie Boogie and Judge Doom.

The event is sold out for 2024.
