Disneyland Introduces Droid Named Bard for “Fire of the Rising Moons” Fireworks Show Starting Tonight

Disneyland is introducing an R1 astromech droid named Bard beginning tonight at the Black Spire Spaceport in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge during  “Fire of the Rising Moons” at Disneyland Park. This is an alternate view of the Disneyland Park fireworks display, which runs on select nights.

R1 Series Astromech Droid – “Fire of the Rising Moons” at Disneyland Park: A modified R1 series astromech droid named “Bard” is featured at the Black Spire Spaceport during “Fire of the Rising Moons” at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, Calif. “Fire of the Rising Moons” is a nighttime experience in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge that highlights a different view of the stunning Disneyland Park fireworks display, with musical accompaniment. Including selections from composer John Williams’ Star Wars film scores, “Fire of the Rising Moons” can be enjoyed from multiple areas in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, including the Black Spire Spaceport, the TIE Echelon docking platform, and the speeder garage. Disney says, “Fire of the Rising Moons” is a nighttime experience in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge that, on select nights, highlights a different view of the stunning Disneyland Park fireworks display, with musical accompaniment. The experience debuted as part of Season of the Force and will continue performances past the season conclusion on June 2.”
