Disney’s Hollywood Studios Celebrates 35th with The Muppets, Sorcerer Mickey
Hi everyone!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios celebrated 35 years today, with Kermit and Miss Piggy, Sorcerer Mickey and more. We have a video and photos to share of the ceremony! Jeff and I have both been visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios since opening year (when it was called Disney MGM-Studios).
First, here is our video.
It was a beautiful morning for the 35th Anniversary celebration, which was held in Theater of the Stars (the “Beauty and the Beast” theater).
The stage was set for the ceremony, which ran under 20 minutes.
Miss Piggy and Kermit were the hosts of sorts. The pair received huge applause.
Walt Disney World Ambassador Serena Arvizu told how Disney’s Hollywood Studios was the first park she ever visited, telling a personal story about Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios Vice President Jackie Swisher paid tribute to the Cast.
Minnie, Pluto, Belle, Moana, and Chip and Dale arrived for the finale.
Sorcerer Mickey was the final character to take the stage.
Confetti rained down.
Cast Members who had been with Disney’s Hollywood Studios for 35 years took to the stage.
They included longtime former Imagineer Bob Weis.
He also took his own photo of the crowd.
What is your favorite memory at Disney’s Hollywood Studios?
