World of Frozen Construction Update at Disneyland Paris from April 2024
Hi everyone!
World of Frozen is the official name of the “Frozen” land coming to Walt Disney Studios Park (eventually to be renamed to Disney Adventure World) at Disneyland Paris. Today, Disneyland Paris shared more news about the full expansion and also gave a look at the current construction progress.
While Disneyland Paris shared one photo, I cropped it to make more (13) pictures. My own last (and very detailed) World of Frozen construction update was taken on January 31st, before the lake – now named Adventure Bay – was filled with water. And we share information on the new lakeside restaurant and Tangled spinner below.
Let us take a look at the World of Frozen expansion.
The clock tower in World of Frozen is behind scaffolding. The colorful buildings of the village can be seen to the right.
Arendelle Castle and work on the North Mountain can also be seen.
Disneyland Paris says,
Among the breathtaking experiences that will be offered in the future, World of Frozen is going to take guests on a journey to the kingdom of Arendelle with its colorful facades and remarkable North Mountain that are gradually coming into view. The land will be well located on the edge of Adventure Bay, a 70,000 cubic meter body of water surrounded by picturesque banks and a promenade at the heart of the park expansion, serving as a gateway to the new themed universes that will surround it.
More than a scenic icon, Adventure Bay will serve as a unique entertainment stage with a 360-degree viewing area. It will be fitted with the latest technologies to provide exciting water-based entertainment, complete with fountains, music, lights and special effects that are sure to delight guests.
New concept art was shared today. There will be one ride (Frozen Ever After) as well as a meet and greet opportunity with Anna and Elsa.
Here are more photos around the “Frozen” construction site.
The lakeside restaurant will be named The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge, which will be “a stylish table-service restaurant that will offer guests spectacular views over Adventure Bay, along with a chance to meet some of their favorite Disney Princesses”. Guests will be able to walk along the promenade called Adventure Way to access the restaurant and World of Frozen.
Here is a look at the restaurant under construction (followed by concept art).
The Regal View concept art reveals what looks to be a Metro-style entrance in an Art Noveau style.
We don’t have a current construction look (since January 31st) of the “Tangled” spinner ride, but Disneyland Paris has shared concept art. I love the theming!
And here are a couple of more photos of the expansion.
What do you think? I hope we at least find out an approximate date in the near future, but nothing has been announced. A lot of construction has taken place since our January trip, and I can’t wait to visit again and share more photos (maybe in September) of the current construction progress.
So much is happening at Disneyland Paris, including Studio 1 becoming World Premiere as well as Walt Disney Studios Park becoming Disney Adventure World! There is a lot to look forward to.
