The book Disney In-Between: The Lost Years 1966-1986 has been revealed for a scheduled September 10th, 2024 release. The hardcover (504 page!) book is a journey from Walt Disney’s passing through the Walt Disney Studios resurgence. In one of the testimonials on the Old Mill Press site, Disney historian Didier Ghez calls the book a “year-by-year account of the period between Walt Disney’s death and the Renaissance of Disney animation”. About the author: Stephen Anderson is a director, writer and storyboard artist with over 30 years of experience in the animation industry. At Walt Disney Animation Studios, he was a story artist on Tarzan and was later promoted to story supervisor for The Emperor’ s New Groove and Brother Bear. As a director, he has helmed the feature films Meet the Robinsons and Winnie the Pooh, followed by a role as supervising director at Walt Disney Television Animation on the first season of Monsters at Work, which debuted on Disney+ in July of 2021.
