Disneyland Paris Shares “Live from the Magic” Disney Symphony of Colours Behind-the-Scenes Show

Hi everyone!

Disneyland Paris has shared a Live from the Magic – Disney Symphony of Colours 20-minute video, with host Chloë talking to the designers for the daytime show A Million Splashes of Colour as well as the fantastic Disney Electrical Sky Parade drone show (which we watched five times during our January trip), which is inspired by the iconic Main Street Electrical Parade.

Disney Symphony of Colours was brought about to add color to grey days, although the two main elements will continue to run this year through September 30th (when the Halloween season starts).

Watch the video (which is in French with English subtitles) and read more below! And you can view our own Disneyland Paris Winter 2024 video playlist as well, which includes Disney Electrical Sky Parade.

This quote is from Disneyland Paris:

Since January 8, 2024, the exciting experiences of the Disney Symphony of Colours add some colors to cloudy winter days. In this episode, we meet Thomas Gallou and Malika Sif, who worked on the show A Million Splashes of Colours, and then we meet Adrien Mourey and Mabrouk Reguigui, both members of the creative team who brought the Disney Electrical Sky Parade to life.

Thomas Gallou is the set designer for A Million Splashes of Colour, and he talks about creating the various floats, including one that is called Robert and Richard in tribute to the Sherman brothers. The show is “a tribute to film creation” and includes a script float and an art float. There are around 60 film references on the three floats, including “Mary Poppins” and “The Jungle Book”.

Malika Sif is the costume designer, who was inspired by the signatures of the characters and Walt Disney. The costumes are adapted for the seasons since the show will play from winter through summer. The colorful bodysuits are heavier in winter, and made of fishnet in summer.

The Disney Electrical Sky Parade is an AMAZING drone show! I first viewed the parade in the 1970s as a child. Adrien Mourey and Mabrouk Reguigui discuss bringing the show to life, including how Reguigui first proposed the idea to show producer Ben Spalding. Both had worked on the actual parade itself.

This was a very interesting episode, and we look forward to viewing A Million Splashes of Colour later this year in person.
