EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival 2024 Collection Coming to Disney Store March 4th, 2024

The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival 2024 Collection is scheduled to arrive to the Disney Store (formerly shopDisney) on March 4th, 2024. This is a little later than the festival opening, which is February 28th. The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival runs through May 27th, 2024.

The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is my favorite time of year at Walt Disney World! There are always around 80-100 topiaries to enjoy, as well as gardens, food, merchandise and more. The topiaries are always amazing.

Shown as part of the collection is the Orange Bird Loungefly Mini Backpack, which we have written about previously. The backpack features Orange Bird in a flower pot, with a variety of icons including Orange Bird, orange slices and at least one garden tool. There are also Spaceship Earth icons.

This is the only item we see on the Disney Store website, so I don’t know what else might be available online. The Orange Bird Loungefly will be VERY popular and may not be available long.

Orange Bird dates back to around 1970 and was created by Disney for the Florida Citrus Commission, which then sponsored the Enchanted Tiki Room in the Magic Kingdom and Sunshine Tree Terrace (Orange Bird was even a walk-around character for a while!). The contract ended in the mid-1980s and the Orange Bird was not used as much for quite some time. In 2012, we were there as the Orange Bird returned to the Sunshine Tree Terrace.

Release dates can change. We do watch for new merchandise daily!
