Book Review: “Weird But True! Disney” – 300 Wonderful Facts to Celebrate the Magic of Disney from Nat Geo Kids

Hi everyone!

I received the book Weird But True! Disney: 300 Wonderful Facts to Celebrate the Magic of Disney to review. Weird But True! Disney is from National Geographic Kids and I received the paperback version to review. This makes a wonderful stocking stuffer! (There is also a Weird But True! Disney  with library binding).

Weird But True! Disney features 300 facts that range from the Disney parks, to Disney history to Disney films and more. The cover is branded for Disney100, celebrating 100 years of the Walt Disney Company.

Included are facts about the Cinderella Castle 25th Anniversary transformation into a cake (which I still remember pretty vividly); a mention of the Cinderella Castle Suite – also in the Magic Kingdom (where I stayed one night in 2007) and the first words of Mickey Mouse. It also mentions the 200+ costumes Mickey Mouse has available to wear at Disneyland Paris! While I know a lot about Disney, there are still quite a few facts in the book that I did not know. And movie facts are included for Disney films including “Turning Red” and “Frozen”.

Weird But True! Disney is the newest in National Geographic Kids’ Weird But True! series. It is a very reasonably priced and fun book for kids, and also for adult Disney fans with plenty of facts and photos.

Here is more information on Weird But True! Disney from the publisher.
