Disney Cruise Line Reveals Details About Upcoming Disney Treasure Cruise Ship
Hi everyone!
I had the opportunity to learn more about the Disney Treasure on a media event aboard the Disney Wish last week. We are posting this as Disney reveals everything we learned that day.
First, the maiden voyage will be a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Port Canaveral on December 21st, 2024! Disney Cruise Line Castaway Club Members will be able to book starting September 12th, 2023. Bookings will open for everyone else starting September 20th. We recommend booking with our travel partner MEI and Mouse Fan Travel.
Here is our Mousesteps Weekly show #486, where we talk about the Disney Treasure announcements! And then keep reading below.
I wanted to hit on some of what you’ll find new aboard the Disney Treasure. What I like about the Disney Treasure overall is that it really leans quite a bit into the “adventure” theme.

The Grand Hall will be “Aladdin” themed, which has been announced previously.
There are new spaces on board the Disney Treasure. As the sister ship to the Disney Wish, the layout will be pretty much the same. So, for example – the new Plaza de Coco theatrical dining experience will inhabit the space you know as Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure on the Disney Wish.
Because the cruises will be seven nights, there will be two different shows with two different menus in this location.
Here is a look at the server costumes for Plaza de Coco.

Disney says of Plaza de Coco, “The story of Miguel and his familia will continue where it left off on screen as they gather in Mariachi Plaza to take guests on two nights of colorful, music-filled journeys that celebrate family memories and togetherness with festive dinner menus of modern twists on traditional Mexican fare and a lineup of live entertainment.”.
I am looking forward to the Periscope Pub, which will be themed to “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” and the Disney Parks attraction. I had the opportunity to see it virtually on an iPad and I know we will spend a lot of time in that space. That isn’t the only Disney Parks attraction represented on the Disney Treasure, there will be the Skipper Society as well, with nods to the iconic Jungle Cruise attraction.
In the Walt Disney Theatre, there will be a brand-new (unnamed so far) production in addition to “Beauty and the Beast” and the wonderful “Disney Seas the Adventure” that debuted on the Disney Wish.
And the AquaMouse will receive a new adventure called AquaMouse: Curse of the Golden Egg. Disney says of this new adventure, “Onboard the Disney Treasure, AquaMouse will introduce an all-new storyline that follows Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse on a zany misadventure into an ancient temple.” This adventure will also be on the Disney Wish.
Sarabi will be a central hub for daytime activities and adults-only evening entertainment, named for the lioness matriarch from Disney’s “The Lion King”.
The Tomorrow Tower Suite will be EPCOT themed, set in the Disney Treasure’s forward funnel.
Jumbeaux’s Sweets is inspired by Jumbeaux Cafe from Disney’s Zootopia. There will be more than 20 flavors of handmade gelato and 16 flavors of ice cream, in addition to other treats (like Joyful Sweets on the Disney Wish, this is an extra cost location).
The Hyperspace Lounge will not be part of the Disney Treasure, but nothing has been announced yet for it.
Worlds of Marvel will also be a two night experience for guests on the Disney Treasure.
There is much more on the Disney Treasure as well, including Palo Steakhouse, Disney’s Oceaneer Club, Senses Spa and a lot more aboard the ship.
We look forward to when the Disney Treasure sets sail late in 2024.
