Gelateria Toscana Debuts New Limoncello Floats at EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion
Hi everyone!
Gelateria Toscana has debuted two new Limoncello floats, which are another welcome way to beat the Florida heat. We were invited out to try both.
Here are photos and information about each Limoncello float!
The menu board has both Limoncello floats listed, they are for ages 21+ and are called the Amalfi and the Bronte.
The Amalfi was my favorite of the two floats, with limoncello liqueur over limoncello gelato and fresh raspberry. The little pieces of raspberry reminded me a bit of candy cane pieces. With both drinks, the gelato paired extremely well with the liqueur. That isn’t always the case with alcohol drinks that are mixed with ice cream and other frozen desserts.
Lemons are harvested from family owned lemon groves in Southeastern Sicily for the Fabrizia Limoncello.
Here is a look from above at the Amalfi.
The Bronte includes a creamy pistachio liqueur over Pistachio di Bronte gelato. I am not a fan of pistachio but I even enjoyed this one. Fabrizia imports their pistachios from Sicily, and they are toasted before being processed into a creamy liqueur.
While we were there, we were also offered a sample of the homemade hot chocolate. This is one of the better hot chocolates I have ever had here, it just tasted like pure chocolate. If you prefer your hot chocolate thinner, then it wouldn’t be for you but I look forward to purchasing it this winter.
The Limoncello floats are on the pricier side for alcoholic drinks at EPCOT, at $19 each. We did enjoy both of them and the gelato here is so good.
Thank you to Gelateria Toscana for having us out to try the new Amalfi and Bronte drinks!
