Disneyland Paris Celebrates Bastille Day with Fireworks and Largest Drone Show in Europe (Official Photos, Video)

Disneyland Paris achieved a new milestone yesterday with its amazing Bastille Day fireworks and drone show! The Bastille Day nighttime show was the largest drone show in Europe, featuring an astounding 1,495 drones flying simultaneously over Sleeping Beauty Castle. The drone choreography included the Eiffel Tower and the rose window of Notre Dame Cathedral, while also celebrating Disney and Pixar films with French connections, including “Ratatouille” and “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”.

Last night, Disneyland Paris achieved a new innovation milestone by surprising its guests with a unique Bastille Day nighttime show, the largest drone show in Europe, featuring 1,495 drones flying simultaneously over Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Combining pyrotechnics, lights and breathtaking drone choreography, the show served as a captivating homage highlighting the connection between Disneyland Paris and France.
In celebration of Bastille Day, the 1,495 drones illuminated the sky to represent some of the greatest symbols of French culture, such as the colors of French flag, the Eiffel Tower and the emblematic rose window of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.

It also celebrated Disney and Pixar classics with French connections, such as Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Aristocats and Ratatouille, through dazzling patterns and vibrant colors.
This cutting-edge entertainment reflects Disneyland Paris’ commitment to continually exceed guest experiences by pushing the boundaries of storytelling and innovation.
The record-breaking nighttime show is the result of a successful collaboration of more than four months between Disneyland Paris entertainment teams and Dronisos, its official technology supplier based in Bordeaux and a European leader in drone shows.

The successful collaboration between Disneyland Paris and Dronisos has notably paved the way for the creation of the award-winning* nighttime spectacular Disney D-Light – to be (re)discovered until September 30 as part of the 30th Anniversary Grand Finale – and also for the sensational drone show Avengers: Power the Night, which will return at Walt Disney Studios Park from September 1 to November 5, 2023.
